WOMFT? Stories – Viola by Westend Vintage
Viola by Westend Vintage – opens in january and is already an institution. We visited our friends during our last Berlin trip.
Phil and Oli joined forces last year and since then have been supplying the whole world with vintage heat. We have known the two for at least 25 years and know about their passion. At Viola you will find a lot of special and very rare pieces and also a lot of knowledge.
In the last weeks they had a Pop-Up Store at the Adidas Originals Store/ Berlin Münzstraße. If you missed it, then you should be aware at this point and stop at their store by the next option!
You’ll find the two and Viola (that’s their vintage chest) in Kantstraße 94 in the legendary Charlottenburg. Not quite Westend, but 100% West Berlin. Once you’ve arrived at the shop, you go on a journey back in time. The Flash catapults you into the late 1990s / early 2000s in Berlin. No reseller, no weekly changing hype. It’s what we think when we talk about romance today: The own style stand for a lifestyle, graffiti wasn’t hanging in galleries, you could open the doors to surfing the “cola cans” while riding, in the clubs in the east of the city lived still the atmosphere of anarchy from the early 1990s and Bas2 imported legendary sneakers directly from New York City. Its shop, Mad Flavour was not far from today’s Viola.
A visit is not only worthwhile for shopping. Take your time for a journey through time. Oli and Phil are two OG´s who tell you what you don’t know yet.
