WOMFT? Review – NEW BALANCE X LEVI’S M1300LV MiUSA

New Balance is currently drops one strong collabo after another: After the hyped collaborations with ALD, Joey Freshgoods and Cassablanca, NB continues to keep the beat high and team up with an equally long-serving US cult brand: LEVI’S. Together they took on the M1300, which returns every 5 years, and created a future classic on the 35 year old Sillhouette.

The base layer of the uppers is made of high-quality White Oak XX52 denim in dark indigo, with panels of butter-soft beige hairy suede nestling above it in line with the back of the iconic LEVI’S patch. A bold 70s orange is the perfect colour complement to the muted palette and brings out the heeltab, tonguetag and “N” logo – all in leather.
The collaboration partner is not only immortalized on the Insole as usual with New Balance, but this time it is even shown on the upper with a small woven tag, alluding to the branding of the jeans. So the “Endorsed by no one” motto might not be seen as dogmatic anymore, which would make us happy, because it leaves more room for cooperation.
The beautiful upper sits on a split midsole in Dark Indigo and Sail and is completed by a full Gumsole.

As always, the Made in USA workmanship from Flimby leaves little to no wish unfulfilled and a beautiful special box makes the collector’s heart beat faster. Yesterday was the global release for 220 €, but according to New Balance all those who did not get anyone can hope for a restock. We recommend you to keep your eyes open. More of that, please!
